A total of 60 posts will be filled under the direct recruitment process for the vacancies of Surveyor under the Industries and Mines Department. Candidates can apply online through the OJAS portal from 14 July, 2025 to 28 July, 2025.

👨🏻💼Surveyor Qualification
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities established.
- OR
- A certificate of surveyor course obtained from the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) recognised by the Government.
- Basic Knowledge of computer must be Necessary.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Note:- Candidates who are in the final year/semester of their graduation degree and have not appeared for the examination by the last date (28/07/2025) of filling the application form will still be eligible. But the candidate will have to produce the degree certificate at the time of document verification.
👴🏻Surveyor Age Limit
Age relaxation:-
The candidate should have completed 20 years of age and should not have completed 35 years of age as on the last date (as on 28/07/2025) of receipt of application.
Minimum age – 20 Years (as on 28/07/2025)
Maximum age – 35 Years (as on 28/07/2025)

🤑Surveyor Salary
The pay scale for Surveyor Class-3 released by GSSSB is as follows:
👉 It will be 40800/- per month for the first five years. (It may be changed subject to Government Resolutions and
Circulars.)
👉 After completion of five years of satisfactory service, it will be Rs. 29200-92300 (Grade Pay-2800) as per Level-5 of the Seventh Pay Commission.

✳️ As per the resolution and letter of the General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat, the minimum qualifying mark for both Part-A and Part-B of the competitive examination has been fixed at 40%.
NOTE:-The qualifying mark for all categories of candidates will be 40%.
🙋♂️Surveyor Exam Pattern
The examination pattern for the post of Surveyor as follows.
- There will be only one written examination.
- A total of 210 questions will be asked, 60 in Part-A and 150 in Part-B.
- A total of 3 hours (180 minutes) will be allotted for both Part-A and Part-B together.
- In case of giving a wrong answer in M.C.Q. method, 1/4th of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted from the marks obtained by the candidate, i.e. negative marking method will be adopted.
- The examination will be conducted using OMR (Optical Mark Reading) method as per this preliminary syllabus.
- One mark (1) will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Each incorrect answer, leaving blank, and selecting more than one answer will result in a deduction of 0.25 (1/4) marks.
- Each question will have an “E” [“Not Attempted“] option. Selecting “E” [“Not Attempted“] will not result in any marks being deducted.
🤾🏻♂️Eligibility for additional sports marks
- As per the provisions of the government, only those candidates who have represented the state in the following sports – Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Shivaming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Tennis, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Judo, Rifle Shooting, Kabaddi, Khokho, Archery, Horse Riding, Shot Put, Sailing, Chess, Handball – in the 1. National/International or 2. Inter-University or 3. Competitions organized by the All India School Federation will get the benefit of sports merit.
- Candidates will be given priority in selection by adding 5 (five) percent marks to the marks obtained in MCQ – OMR (CBRT) examination/Normalized marks.
- If it is established that they do not have a valid sports certificate, then the 5 (five) percent mark increase given to them will be cancelled and the merit will be re-determined.

How to apply Advertisement No. 325/202526
- First go to the website “https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in”.
- Then click on Apply in “Online Application” and select GSSSB.
- Click on the name of the advertisement in which the candidate wants to apply and click on Apply.
- When clicking on “Apply now” a new window will open. When clicking on “Skip”
the Application Format will open. - In which the candidate must first fill in “Personal Details”.
(Where there is a red asterisk (*), those details must be filled in compulsorily.) - After filling in the Personal Details, “Educational Details” must be filled.
- After that, it is mandatory to read and accept the conditions mentioned in the guarantee, so select “Yes” and click on “save”. That is, the application will be considered complete.
- Finally, by clicking on “save”, an “Application Number” will be generated which will be sent to your mobile number or email. The candidate should keep it safe as it will be useful at every stage of the advertisement in the future.
