Surendranagar Municipal Corporation has recently issued an advertisement for temporary appointment on a total of 29 vacant posts in 17 different posts. More information about this is given below.

  1. Legal Officer : For a total of 1 post, the candidate should have a Bachelor of Laws degree or LLB (three year course) from a recognized university and should be registered with the Bar Council. In addition, he should have knowledge of computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 5 years of experience in any court. The salary scale will be 40000/- fixed salary.
  2. Public Relations Officer : For a total of 1 vacancy, the candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. In addition, he should have knowledge of computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 35000/- fixed salary.
  3. EDP Maneger : For a total of 1 vacancy of the post, the candidate should have a degree of BE(C.E.IT) or B.Sc(IT) from a recognized university. Also, he should have knowledge of computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 30000/- fixed salary.
  4. Work Assistant : For a total of 5 vacancies, the candidate should have a Diploma in Civil or BE Civil degree. Also, he should have knowledge of computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 25000/- fixed salary.
  5. Tax Officer : For a total of 2 vacancies, the candidate should have a bachelor’s degree. Also, he should have knowledge of computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 35000/- fixed salary. (Preference will be given to Commerce graduates.)
  6. Sanitation Officer : For a total of 2 vacancies of the post, the candidate should have completed one year Health Sanitary Course or its equivalent Diploma Course from ITI or recognized institution and should have 12th pass degree. Also, should have knowledge of Computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 35000/- fixed salary.
  7. Technical Supervisor (Environment) : For a total of 2 vacancies of the post, the candidate should have BE (Environment) or Graduate or Post Graduate from a recognized university with experience and the mentioned degree. Also, he should have knowledge of computer, Gujarati-Hindi-English language. Should have 2 years of experience. Salary scale will be 25000/- or 30000/- or 35000/- fixed salary as per the degree.
  8. Hardware Engineer : For a total of 1 post, the candidate should have a degree of BE / BTech (IT / Computer / Electronics and Communication). Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 25000/- fixed salary.
  9. Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil) : For a total of 3 vacancies of the post, the candidate should have a Diploma (Civil) Engg. or equivalent degree from a recognized university. Also, he should have knowledge of English, Gujarati and Hindi. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 30000/- fixed salary.
  10. Solid Waste Manager (Technical Assistant) : For a total of 1 vacancy of the post, the candidate should have a degree of BE./B.Tech in Environment or Civil from a recognized university. Also, he should have knowledge of English, Gujarati and Hindi language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 30000/- fixed salary.
  11. Liquid Waste Manager (Drainage Engineer) : For a total of 1 post, the candidate should have a BE/BTech in Environment or Civil degree from a recognized university. Also, he should have knowledge of English, Gujarati and Hindi. He should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 30000/- fixed salary.
  12. MIS Data Analytics : For a total of 1 post, the candidate should have a degree of BE(CE/IT), BCA/BSc(IT)/BTech/MCA/MSc(IT)/ME/MTech-IT from a recognized university. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 30000/- fixed salary.
  13. Civil Engineer (Housing Scheme) : For a total of 1 vacancy of the post, the candidate should have BE/BTech (Civil) Engineer or ME/MTech or equivalent degree from a recognized university. Should have knowledge of computer as well as Gujarati-English-Hindi language. Should have 2 years of experience. Salary scale will be 35000/- in degree and 40000/- in PG.
  14. Social Development Expert : For a total of 1 post, the candidate should have a degree in Social Sciences. Should have knowledge of computer as well as Gujarati-English-Hindi language. Should have 2 years of experience. Salary scale will be 35000/- in degree and 40000/- in PG.
  15. Financial Management & Accounting : For a total of 1 vacancy of the post, the candidate should have a degree in Finance Accounting or MCom/BCom or MBA in Finance from a recognized university. Should have knowledge of computer as well as Gujarati-English-Hindi language. Should have 2 years of experience. Salary scale will be 35000/- in degree and 40000/- in PG.
  16. CAD Operator : For a total of 1 vacancy of the post, the candidate should have BS Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), BS Architecture / BS Computer Science Drafting Course or its equivalent degree. Should have knowledge of computer as well as Gujarati-English-Hindi language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 21000/- fixed salary.
  17. Planning Assistant : For a total of 1 vacancy of the post, the candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a degree in Civil Eng./Tech. Should have knowledge of computer as well as Gujarati-English-Hindi language. Should have 2 years of experience. The salary scale will be 30000/- fixed salary.

Important Date,Time and Place For Walk in Interview

This walk in interview announced by Surendranagar Municipal Corporation is being held at Surendranagar Municipal Corporation, Near Collector’s Office, Tower Road, Surendranagar on 18th November 2025 and 19th November 2025 at 12 noon.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • At the scheduled walk in interview, the candidate will have to submit a self-attested copy of the documents along with his/her bio, educational qualification certificates – school leaving certificate, birth certificate, experience certificates and a recent passport size photograph.
  • This recruitment process will be completely offline. Applications will not be accepted online, by mail or post, or through any other means.
  • Only candidates who meet the qualifications stated in the advertisement will be admitted to the walk in interview.
  • No other allowances will be given except the salary allowance mentioned.
  • The candidate will have to appear at the time and place of the interview with all the original documents mentioned at his/her own expense and at the expense of the applicant.
  • The candidates selected through this recruitment exercise will be appointed on a purely temporary basis for a period of 6 months. After the completion of the 6-month period, the term will be extended for another 5 years based on the performance evaluation, the final decision of which will be taken by the Municipal Corporation.

Selection Process

In this walk in interview organized by Surendranagar Municipal Corporation, the candidates will be selected based on the qualifications and degree certificates as well as experience as determined for each post and through an oral interview.
