Additional Assistant Engineer Civil Qualification
The candidate should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from a Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities or Institutions established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized or declared as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. However, a candidate having a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering shall not be eligible to apply.
Additionally, the candidate must have basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 And the candidate must have sufficient knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi or both.

Syllabus for Additional Assistant Engineer Civil Exam
The preliminary examination for Additional Assistant Engineer Civil recruitment will be conducted through Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)/ Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) method covering the following subjects. - A total of 200 questions will be asked in the exam for a total of 200 marks.
- The time limit for the exam is three hours.
- Each question in the question paper carries one mark.
- There is negative grading for wrong answers, where 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Also, 1 mark will be given for correct answers.
