The full name of MPHW is Multipurpose Health Worker. This term is used for both male and female health workers. MPHW COURSE
In this recruitment organized by BMC, a total of 2 major degrees are considered valid for Multi-Purpose Health Workers.
- MPHW Course: Multi-Purpose Health Worker is a health-related pera-medical or community health worker training course. The aim of which is to prepare front-line health workers for disease prevention services, health service management and health promotion. It is mandatory to have at least 10th pass or 12th pass to do this course. The duration of this course is usually about 1 year. (If you want to do some special subject-based courses, its duration can be up to 2 years.)
- SI Course: The full form of SI is Sanitary Inspector, this is also a paramedical, health related and diploma course. The aim of which is to prepare workers who can inspect the people in the field of sanitation, health regulation, environment and public health. One can also apply for the course after 10th pass or 12th pass. This course is also usually of 1 year duration, but in some special cases it can also be of 2 years duration. Usually, a one year duration course can be done in ITI.
MPHW SALARY
In this recruitment organized by BMC, MPHW will get a fixed salary of Rs 26000 for the initial five years like Gujarat government employees. After five years of satisfactory service, regular appointment will be given in the pay scale of Rs 19900 to Rs 63200 as per the Seventh Pay Commission.
