Medical Social Worker Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Social work (Psychiatry) or Master of Social Work or Master of Arts in Social Work obtained from any of the Universities.
• The Basic knowledge of computer.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both.

MSW Age Limit

The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 37 years as on 05/12/2025.

The following categories of candidates are eligible for age relaxation.

Medical Social Worker Exam Fee

As per the resolution of the General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat, the following fees will be charged for this GSSSB recruitment.

*The fees paid shall be refunded to those candidates who appear for the examination. *The last date for payment of application fee will be 08/12/2025.

Medical Social Worker Salary

• As per advertisement number:-367/202526 issued by Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board Gandhinagar, the pay scale of Medical Social Worker Class-3 will be Rs.49600/- per month for the first five years.
• After five years, as per the Seventh Pay Commission, the Grade Pay of Level-7 (49900/- then 126600) will be Rs.4400.

Medical Social Worker Exam Pattern

The examination pattern of MSW Class-3 released by Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board Gandhinagar will be in two parts.

Part-A

In the first phase, a competitive examination of CBRT/OMR (Computer Based Respose Test/Optical Mark Recognisation) method with objective Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type questions will be conducted.

Part-B

Part-2 will also be taken from MCQ.

• A total of 60 questions will be asked in Part-1 and a total of 150 questions will be asked in Part-2, for a total of 210 questions.
• A total of 3 hours (180 minutes) will be allotted for both Part-1 and Part-2 combined.
• Negative marking system will be adopted, which will deduct 1/4 of each mark allotted.

1. First go to the website “https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in”.
2. Then click on Apply in “Online Application” and select GSSSB.
3. Click on the name of the advertisement in which the candidate wants to apply and click on Apply.
4. When clicking on “Apply now” a new window will open. When clicking on “Skip”
   the Application Format will open.
5. In which the candidate must first fill in “Personal Details”.
   (Where there is a red asterisk (*), those details must be filled in compulsorily.)
6. After filling in the Personal Details, “Educational Details” must be filled.
7. After that, it is mandatory to read and accept the conditions mentioned in the guarantee, so select “Yes” and click on “save”. That is, the application will be considered complete.
8. Finally, by clicking on “save”, an “Application Number” will be generated which will be sent to your mobile number or email. The candidate should keep it safe as it will be useful at every stage of the advertisement in the future.
