Work Assistant Age Limit

For Advertisement No. 355/202526, the candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as on 30/01/2026.

The following categories of candidates are eligible for age relaxation.

Work Assistant Qualification

A bachelor’s degree in Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from the Board of Technical Examinations or any other University or Institution established or incorporated under Central or State law in India; or any other educational institution recognized or declared as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government obtained from any of the Universities.
The Basic knowledge of computer.
Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both.

Work Assistant : Exam Fees

As per the resolution of the General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat, the following fees will be charged for this GSSSB recruitment.

A total of 60 questions will be asked in Part-1 and a total of 150 questions will be asked in Part-2, for a total of 210 questions.
A total of 3 hours (180 minutes) will be allotted for both Part-1 and Part-2 combined.
Negative marking system will be adopted, which will deduct 1/4 of each mark allotted.

Work Assistant Salary

The pay scale of Work Assistant Class-III issued by Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board Gandhinagar will be Rs.26000/- per month for the first five years.
As per 7th Pay Commission after completion of five years, Grade Pay of Level-4 (25500/- to 81200) will be Rs.2400.

Then click on Apply in “Online Application” and select GSSSB.
Click on the name of the advertisement in which the candidate wants to apply and click on Apply.
When clicking on “Apply now” a new window will open. When clicking on “Skip”
the Application Format will open.
In which the candidate must first fill in “Personal Details”.
(Where there is a red asterisk (*), those details must be filled in compulsorily.)
After filling in the Personal Details, “Educational Details” must be filled.
