Age Limit

Generally, the candidate should be at least 20 years of age and not more than 35 years of age at the time of application for this India. In which the candidates of the following categories will be eligible for relaxation as per the rules.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications prescribed for this recruitment include BBA or BCA or B.Com or BSc (in Mathematics or Statistics) or BA (in Statistics or Economics or Mathematics) from a UGC recognized university at the time of application.

Special note: (1)BSc (in CA & IT) and MSc (in CA & IT) degree holders are not considered eligible for this recruitment. (2) In this recruitment, a candidate who is studying in the final year at the time of application can also apply, but the candidate must have passed a recognized degree before the mains exam. Apart from this, the candidate should have general knowledge of computer as per GCS Rules 1967 and should have knowledge of both Gujarati and Hindi languages.

(1) Candidates appearing in this examination conducted by the board will be eligible for a refund of their fees.

(2) The fee will be accepted only through online mode at the time of application. If the fee is paid through any other mode, it will not be accepted or demanded.

(3) The last day to pay the application fee will be 2^nd Nov 2025 (11:59:00 PM).

Exam Pettern

In this recruitment of Sub Accountant / Sub Auditor and Accountant / Auditor / Sub Treasury Officer and Superintendent, a joint examination will be conducted in two main phases. Here is the phase-wise examination information given below.

Phase 1. Preliminary Exam Pattern (MCQ)

In this first phase joint examination, the examination for all the posts of Sub Accountant / Sub Auditor and Accountant / Auditor / Sub Treasury Officer and Superintendent will be conducted through objective (MCQ) method.

The question paper will be of total 150 marks.

The exam duration will generally be 2 hours, with an additional 20 minutes given for PwD candidates. In this exam, 1 mark will be given for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. That is, negative marking system will be applied in this exam.

Phase 2. Main Exam Pattern (Descriptive)

The second phase examination of the Sub Accountant / Sub Auditor and Accountant / Auditor / Sub Treasury Officer and Superintendent recruitment organized by GSSSB will be of descriptive type.

There will be a total of two papers for this exam.

In which the first paper will be Gujarati and English language of total 100 marks. The duration of which will be 3 hours. Also the second paper will be related to accounting and auditing of total 100 marks. The time period of which will also be 3 hours.

Selection Process

In this recruitment, the marks obtained in the first stage examination and the second stage examination will be converted into provisional merit through the normalization method in the selection process.

Thereafter, the candidates selected on merit based on the normalization score will be called for document verification. After completing all the above stages and successful document verification, a final merit list will be prepared and appointments will be made to the selected post as per the merit.
