Lab Technician Qualification in Gujarat
The educational qualifications prescribed by GPSSB for Lab Technician Recruitment are mentioned below.
- The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Microbiology or a degree in Bio-Chemistry or Bio-Technology from a recognized university.
- And the candidate should have obtained a Diploma in Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician Course of Medical Technology or Graduate in Medical Laboratory Technology or Post Medical Laboratory Technology or one year Medical Laboratory Technician training from any government recognized institute or university.
- As Per The Prevailing Rules, The Candidate Should Have General Knowledge Of Computers.
- The candidate should have knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages.
Lab Technician Recruitment 2026 : Age Limit
The candidate should not be more than 36 years of age at the time of application, in which age relaxation will be available as per the category as mentioned below.

Lab Technician Salary
The selected candidates will be eligible to get a fixed salary of Rs. 40,800/- per month for the first five years as per the prevailing rules of the Government of Gujarat.
GPSSB Lab Technician Exam Pattern
- As per the decision taken by the board, one question paper for Gram Sevak will be of total 200 Marks. For which a total time of 3 Hours will be allotted.
- The examination will be conducted according to the OMR/CBRT method.
- In the exam, 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
