Applications are invited for filling up a total of 155 posts announced for direct recruitment by the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board through direct recruitment. The information about the category wise reserved posts is as follows.

FHW Salary
The selected candidates will be eligible to get a fixed salary of Rs. 26,000/- per month for the first five years as per the prevailing rules of the Government of Gujarat.

The educational qualifications prescribed by GSSSB for FHW Recruitment are mentioned below.
- The candidate should have 12th pass or its equivalent degree.
- The candidate should have completed a government approved Female Health Worker training course OR the candidate should have completed ANM course from an institution affiliated to a government approved Nursing Council.
- As Per The Prevailing Rules, The Candidate Should Have General Knowledge Of Computers.
- The candidate should have knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages.

This exam for FHW will cover the following topics.
- A total of one exam will be conducted for this recruitment, in which candidates with priority will be selected based on the marks obtained for the total number of vacancies.
- This exam will be conducted in one paper in total but in two parts.
- A total of 210 questions will be asked, 90 questions in Part-A and 120 questions in Part-B.
- A total of 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes will be given for the combined examination of both the parts.
- This exam will be of CBRT / OMR type, in which a total of 4 options will be given per question, from which the candidate will have to find the correct answer.
- One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
GSSSB FHW Syllabus 2026
The subjects included in the syllabus decided by the board for the examination to be conducted for the FHW Recruitment are mainly Gujarati grammar, English grammar, current affairs, and technical knowledge related to work.

Minimum Qualifying Standard : GSSSB FHW Recruitment 2026
- The minimum eligibility criteria for selection will be determined based on the examination to be conducted by the board and the vacancy indicated in the advertisement.
- To get selected, it will be mandatory to obtain at least 40% marks in both the parts.
- Thereafter, based on the total marks obtained in both the parts, candidates will be given preference based on the position.

In which it can be done in government or private colleges after passing 12th. After completing this course in the college, registration has to be done in Gujarat Nursing Council, only after that service or practice can be done in private or government institutions.
Can disabled candidates apply for this recruitment ?
Yes, Divyang candidates can also apply in this recruitment, but they will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation as Divyang in the selection process.
What is the salary of an FHW ?
As per the existing rules of the Gujarat Government, the selected FHW candidates will be eligible to receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs 26,000 for five years.
