Citizenship :

The candidate wishing to apply must be an Indian citizen as per the rules.

Age limit :

The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 33 years on the last date of application i.e. 21 July 2026. Also, relaxation will be available as per the rules as per below.

Educational Qualification :

• The candidate wishing to apply should possess a degree in Horticulture from a Government recognized Central Agricultural/Horticultural University Act or any Agricultural/Horticultural University established or established by the State as well as a Diploma in Horticulture obtained from the Agricultural/Horticultural University Act.
• Also, as per the prevailing government rules, one should have general knowledge of computers and its certificates.
• And should have knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages.

Salary : GSSSB Agriculture Overseer

• As per the GSSSB advertisement, the selected candidate will be eligible to receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs 40,800/- for the first five years.
• After the first five years of satisfactory service, the pay scale will be Rs 29,200 – 92,300 as per Level-5 of the Seventh Pay Commission.

Examination fee : GSSSB Agriculture Overseer

At the time of application, the candidate will have to pay the prescribed fee as per the applicable category mentioned below.

Exam Pattern :

According to the GSSSB announcement, the examination for Agriculture Overseer will be conducted in two main parts simultaneously as per the examination pattern.

Syllabus :

The syllabus for the Agriculture Overseer exam announced by GSSSB is given in the syllabus section of our website, which can be accessed through the link below.

Exam-related Instructions :

• The exam will be of a total of 210 questions and 210 marks, in which Part-A will be of a total of 90 marks and Part-B will be of a total of 120 marks.
• The total time allotted for Part-A and Part-B will be 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes.
• In the examination, one mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer will be deducted from the marks obtained as per the negative marking method.

Minimum Qualifying Standards : Agriculture Overseer Exam

• According to the announcement by GSSSB, it will be mandatory to obtain 40% of the total marks in both the parts separately to pass the selection examination.
• Finally, the top scorer will be selected based on the marks obtained by all the candidates in the category.

How to Apply for Agriculture Overseer Recruitment 2026

Candidates wishing to apply for the post of Agriculture Overseer can apply between 7th July 2026 to 21st July 2026 by visiting the Ojas portal and following the steps given below.

• First, go to the Ojas website, go to the online application section and click on the Apply button.
• Then, on the page that opens, select the job you want to apply for and click on the Apply Now button.
• After that, on the page that opens, if you have an OTR number, fill it in or click on the Skip button and proceed.
• After that, there will be a form on the page that opens, in which the candidate’s personal details and educational details should be carefully filled, accept the terms of the guarantee below, select Yes and save the form.
• After that, an application number will be generated which should be saved.
• Then go to the Upload Photograph section from the above menus and enter the application number and date of birth and proceed.
• Then upload your photo and your signature in the prescribed format as per the prescribed size in the form that opens. The uploaded photo will start appearing.
• Please note that your photo must have been taken within the last year and must have the date shown below.
• Then click on Confirm Application from the Online Application Sanctions section in the menu bar, then enter the application number and date of birth in the form that opens and proceed.
• After that, the page that opens will show the details you entered, check which and finally if there is any mistake, edit it and correct it, for which the option of edit will also be available where the option of conform application form is available.
• If there are no errors, check the details and click on the button named Confirm Application given below.
• Then the page that opens will have your application confirmation number which you should save. Also, there will be a button below to print the application, click on it to get a printout of your application.
• After completing the application, go to the fee section in the top menu bar and click on the option of online/post office challan, select online and pay the fee as per your category. And finally, get a printout of the receipt.
