Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board had issued an advertisement in December 2025 to fill up the vacancies through direct recruitment for a total of 100 posts of Assistant Librarian, Class-3 under the Director of Libraries under the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department. As part of the selection process, Assistant Librarian Result 2026 has been declared, which includes the marks of the candidates, provisional merit list and list for document verification.

- In the above results declared by the board, after the questions cancelled in the final answer key, 1 mark has been given for each correct answer in Part-A and 0.25 marks have been deducted for each wrong answer, while in Part-B, 1.00671 marks have been given for each correct answer and 0.25168 marks have been deducted from the total marks obtained for each wrong answer.

After the result declared based on the CBRT examination conducted by the board, the total vacancies to be filled i.e. 100 and double the 6 candidates mentioned in the application for sports merit, a total of 189 candidates have been declared provisional merit list and document verification list which can be viewed from the link given below.

This merit list has been prepared keeping in mind the total number of candidates to be filled in each category based on the details given by the candidates at the time of application as well as the marks obtained by the candidates in the examination taken and they have been selected for verification of original documents. The final selection list will now be announced by the board in due course.
List Of Documents Required For Document Verification :
In the document verification program announced by GSSSB for Assistant Librarian, the candidates have been asked to submit the following documents and their copies in total of two sets as well as all the original documents.
In short, Candidates will have to produce the original documents at this time, along with the details of the documents mentioned at the time of application.
- Copy of the Application Form received at the time of application.
- 2. School Leaving Certificate (LC)
- For Reserved Category – Cast Certificate (for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS candidates).
- For SEBC Category – Non-Creamy Layer Certificate & EWS – EWS Certificate.
- Marksheet of 10th and 12th.
- Marksheets and Degree Certificate of all Semesters of Bachelor’s Degree in the Library and Information Science or Library Science.
- CCC or equivalent computer training certificate.
- Valid Disability (if applicable) as mentioned at the time of Application.
- Sports Certificate (if applicable) as mentioned at the time of Application.
- ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from the appointing officer for candidates who are in current employment.
- Identity card (with Address Details).
- 2 Recent Passport Size Photographs.
