Eligibility Criteria : Vidyut Sahayak Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification :

The candidate who wishes to apply should have a qualification of B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.CA and BBA in regular or open/distance learning mode from a recognized university. The candidate should have secured at least 55% or more marks in the last year or last two semesters. In case of open/distance learning mode, the candidate should have secured a score of 3.01 out of 4 points or at least 650 points on a scale of 1000 as approved by NAAC.

Required Skills :

• The candidate should have general knowledge of computer usage.
• The candidate should be fluent in Gujarati and English.

Age Limit :

Disability Criteria

• As per the existing rules, only candidates with at least 40% disability will be considered eligible.
• Acceptable Disability for Selection in Recruitment: PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disability) candidates having disabilities of Low Vision (LV) (40-70%), Hearing Impairment (HH) (40-70%), One Hand (OA), One Leg (OL), D (Dwarfism), Leprosy Cured (LC), Acid Attack Victim (AAV), Specific Learning Disability (SLD), SI (Spinal Cord Injury) and SD (Spinal Cord Deformity).

Vidyut Sahayak Salary

Provision Regarding Fixed Salary :

The candidate selected for the post of Electrical Assistant will be eligible to receive a fixed monthly salary as follows for the first three years.

First year	Rs. 22,750/-
Second year	Rs. 24,700/-
Third year	Rs. 26,650/-

Apart from this, TA/DA will be eligible as per the company rules, no other allowances will be eligible during this fixed salary period.

Provisions Relating To Future Appointments :

Candidates selected at the end of the selection process will be appointed on the pay scale of Junior Assistant in the range of 25,000/- to 55,800/- after satisfactory service for the first three years as mentioned above.

• While filling the application form, the applicant will have to check all his/her details carefully and ensure that they are correct and then submit the form. After that, no corrections or additions will be allowed.
• At the time of application, the candidate will have to complete the process of selecting the preferred companies for recruitment in order of preference. E.g. PGVCL, UGVCL, DGVCL, MGVCL
• The order of companies selected as per the order of preference during the application process cannot be changed later, and posting will be done as per the final merit order at the end of the selection process. No other argument regarding this order of preference will be entertained.
• Currently, no certificates are to be uploaded or sent anywhere in hard copy during the application process. However, as part of the selection process, the original certificates as applicable and as mentioned in the application form will have to be produced when called for by the company.
• Candidates whose marks obtained from the university are indicated as per the grade at the time of application will have to produce a certificate from that university stating the grade applicable for that percentage at the time of verification of documents.
• Apart from this, the employees currently working in this department can also fill the form in this recruitment, in which only the maximum age limit will not apply to them, in all other cases other candidates will be considered equivalent. Otherwise, no other relaxation will be eligible.

Recruitment / Selection Process : Vidyut Sahayak Recruitment 2026

As part of the selection process for this recruitment, instructions will be issued in the future to download the hall ticket, which will be mentioned in the hall ticket regarding the date of the examination at that time, along with a copy of any valid identity proof. Two examinations will be conducted as part of the selection process as follows, more details of which are given below.

First level exam :

• Candidates will be called for the first level examination based on the applicable details mentioned in the application form, the information about which will have to be obtained by the candidate through the hall ticket.
• This first level exam will be conducted online or offline at any examination center in Gujarat.
• This first level exam will be of 100 marks.
• After the first level examination, the answer key will be announced by the recruiting organization. If anyone has any objections regarding this, they can inform the organization by paying a fee. The final answer key will be announced after taking into account the approved corrections and additions.
• To pass the PTA level exam, it will be mandatory to score 45 marks out of 100 in the exam.

Second Level Exam :

• Only those candidates who have passed and secured 45 or more marks in the first examination will be considered eligible to appear for the second examination.
• Based on the final results of the first examination, the list of candidates eligible for the second examination will be published on the PGVCL website.
• Candidates eligible for the second examination will be able to get the hall ticket on the PGVCL website, which will be notified in due course.
• The medium of the second exam will also be the same as the first exam.
• The second exam will also be of 100 marks.
• The provisions regarding objections and answer keys will also remain the same as in the first examination.
• The final result will be announced on the PGVCL website based on the final answer key.
• According to the final result, the candidate will be selected or allotted to the relevant company according to the rank of merit obtained.
• Based on the vacancies for PwDB in the respective company, candidates will be called for document verification and medical checkup, which will be informed on the e-mail registered with the application. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep checking that e-mail.

-:: NOTE ::-

• After the publication of the provisional answer key, if there is any objection, then the objection application can be made online by paying a fee of Rs. 500 per question. Which will be the same for both the levels of the exam. Finally, the matter will be verified by the expert and if the objection is found to be correct, then the fee paid will be refunded.
• No other examination or interview has been announced by the recruitment agency for selection other than the one mentioned above, hence there will be only two main stages for selection as mentioned above.

Vidyut Sahayak Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The exam pattern and syllabus announced by the recruitment agency for both the exams to be conducted for Electrical Assistant will be as follows.

First level exam :

• The question paper for the first examination will be of a total of 100 marks, in which 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total marks obtained for each incorrect answer.
• Generally, the question paper will be in both Gujarati and English languages, but the linguistic questions will be in the appropriate language, i.e. questions related to Gujarati language will be in Gujarati and questions related to English language will be in English.

Other Examination-Related Provisions :

• In case, the question of interpretation arises, the English question paper shall be considered final.
• If there are more applications, the exam will be organized in phases and a normalization method will be adopted for the results.
• Only those candidates who have secured at least 45 marks in the first level examination will be considered eligible for the second level examination and the same will apply in the second examination as well. That is, if the candidates who do not have more than 45 marks for the number of vacancies to be filled, such candidates will not be selected.
• If a candidate is a world candidate and has no other work, then he will be eligible to get 5% additional marks over the marks obtained in the second examination.
