GSRTC Driver Recruitment 2026 – Age Limits

GSRTC Driver Recruitment 2026 – Driver Salary

As per the Corporation’s notification for Driver Recruitment 2026, the selected candidate will be given a fixed monthly salary of Rs 26,000 for the first five years, after which, if satisfactory service is found, he will be appointed in the regular pay scale.

GSRTC Driver Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Educational Qualification

• At the time of application, the applicant should have at least 12th pass or its equivalent recognized degree. (If the diploma is done 10 years ago, the diploma course should be of at least 3 years or more.)
• Similarly, the candidate should have a computer certificate.

Licence & Badge

• Male: Must have a valid HGV/HPV/PSV license for public vehicles obtained from the Regional Transport Office and must have a PSV base. This license must be at least four years old.
• Female: It is necessary to have a heavy license and base for driving a public vehicle approved by the Regional Transport Office. If there are candidates with experience in driving a heavy vehicle, then they will be given priority. In other cases, it will be mandatory to undergo two months of training at the Corporation’s Driving Test Center, only if the training is completed satisfactorily, further action will be taken regarding the appointment of such candidates.

Computer Knowledge

• The candidate should have a government approved CCC certificate with knowledge of computer. If the candidate has completed 10th or 12th standard or any other approved course during his/her studies up to 12th pass, then if it includes computer as a subject, it will also be valid.

Experience

• Only candidates with valid licenses as mentioned above will be considered for experience.
• The candidate’s experience will be taken into consideration only if it is indicated at the time of application. Otherwise, the experience will not be considered valid.
• Only experience after the candidate has a valid heavy vehicle license will be considered valid.
• The experience as per the points mentioned above will be valid only if it is for at least four consecutive years.
• A certificate from the private firm, organization or company in which the candidate has experience and the signature and stamp of the owner will be mandatory.
• If you have served in a 108 ambulance, your experience will not be valid, as it is not included in heavy vehicles.

Vision

• Only candidates who have clear vision and are not color blind will be considered.

Height

• Male: The candidate wishing to apply should have a minimum height of 162 centimeters. (For ST category candidates, 160 centimeters height will be acceptable.)
• Female: Female candidates wishing to apply must be at least 160 centimeters tall.

Nationality

• Candidates wishing to apply must be Indian citizens at the time of application.

GSRTC Driver Bharati 2026 – Selection Process

For the selection process for the driver recruitment organized by GSRTC, the candidate will have to go through two main stages.

The subject-wise weightage of the 100 marks OMR written examination for the first stage will be as follows.

• In the practical written examination stage, OMR type questions of 100 marks with weightage of the subjects mentioned above will be eligible.
• The time allotted for the written examination will be 1 hour.
• There will be 100 questions in the exam, each carrying 1 mark.
• 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• There is no provision of any minimum marks required by the corporation for passing.
• The medium of the question paper will generally be Gujarati, but the medium for English comprehension questions will be English.
• Only blue or black pens should be used to tick answers in the answer sheet during the examination.

Driving test of 50 marks

• The second stage of the driver selection process will be a driving test.
• This driving test phase will be of 50 marks. Out of which it will be mandatory for the candidate to secure at least 35 marks.
• During this stage, height will be measured first, and only candidates of the prescribed height will be allowed to take the test.

The Corporation will take action for final selection on merit, taking into account the marks obtained in both the stages as mentioned above. At the time of verification of documents, all the documents mentioned in the application will be verified. After verification of documents, the list of final selection eligible candidates will be published.

GSRTC Driver Bharati 2026 – Application / Exam Fees

After filling the online application form, the candidate will have to pay the applicable fee as per the category mentioned below through online mode only. If the fee is not paid after the application confirmation process, such application forms will not be considered valid.

How to Apply for GSRTC Driver Bharati 2026

Candidates wishing to apply for the post of Driver can apply by visiting the Ojas portal and following the steps given below between 6 June 2026 and 5 July 2026.

• First, go to the Ojas website, go to the online application section and click on the Apply button.
• Then, on the page that opens, select the job you want to apply for and click on the Apply Now button.
• After that, on the page that opens, if you have an OTR number, fill it in or click on the Skip button and proceed.
• After that, there will be a form on the page that opens, in which the candidate’s personal details and educational details should be carefully filled, accept the terms of the guarantee below, select Yes and save the form.
• After that, an application number will be generated which should be saved.
• Then go to the Upload Photograph section from the above menus and enter the application number and date of birth and proceed.
• Then upload your photo and your signature in the prescribed format as per the prescribed size in the form that opens. The uploaded photo will start appearing.
• Please note that your photo must have been taken within the last year and must have the date shown below.
• Then click on Confirm Application from the Online Application Sanctions section in the menu bar, then enter the application number and date of birth in the form that opens and proceed.
• After that, the page that opens will show the details you entered, check which and finally if there is any mistake, edit it and correct it, for which the option of edit will also be available where the option of conform application form is available.
• If there are no errors, check the details and click on the button named Confirm Application given below.
• Then the page that opens will have your application confirmation number which you should save. Also, there will be a button below to print the application, click on it to get a printout of your application.
• After completing the application, go to the fee section in the top menu bar and click on the option of online/post office challan, select online and pay the fee as per your category. And finally, get a printout of the receipt.
